FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the primary goal of the Solar Summit 2025?

  • To provide knowlege and hands-on experience in solar electrical systems to empower you to tackle any solar project yourself.
Is this event suitable for beginners, or do I need prior knowledge of electrical systems?
  • This is beginner friendly indeed! Come and learn with us with hands-on learning and professional guidance.
How are the 12 rigs chosen for live builds?
  • We will have an application process (link coming soon) and our team will hand-pick the rigs. Priority will be given to those who have not started on their electrical builds yet and have not purchased equipment OR have purchased equipment from shop.EXPLORIST.life. ONLY EXPLORIST.life designed systems will be installed, no custom modifications will be allowed.
Are the classes hands-on, lecture-based, or a mix of both?
  • A bit of both! We aim to get you hands-on experience wherever we can, but sometimes lecture-based theory is also necessary.
Is food provided, or are there nearby dining options?
  • Food trucks will be on site and available for purchase. In addition, the event is in town near restaurants, and is right on the FREE bus line that can take you around town as well.
    • Happy Hour drinks/dinner/food - tbd based on Vendor participation
What is included with the camping pass? (e.g., space type, access to event areas)
  • With the camping pass, you'll get a camping spot large enough for your rig (be sure to let us know your rig size upon checkout) and some space for you out front of your rig for chairs/hangout area. We are going to be packed in tight, but not so tight that you aren't comfortable.
  • Access to the entire event! Other than food, drinks, and vendor purchases, there is nothing else you need to purchase to participate in the full event.
  • ONE event pass with each camping pass is included with the vehicle. Additional attendees in each vehicle require an add-on pass at a discounted rate.
Are there any rules or restrictions for camping at the site?
Are there dogs allowed at the event?
  • Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the camping section only. Due to the electrical equipment in the event, dogs will not be allowed in the vendor or build/main stage areas.
